We are pleased to announce that we are joining the Georgetown School of Health (SOH) this academic year, marking an exciting new chapter in our program’s history.

Launched in July 2022, the SOH is the university’s newest school, and currently composed of three departments that have existed for more than 20 years: Health Management and Policy, Human Science, and Global Health. Addiction Policy & Practice will now be housed under the Health Management and Policy department.

As we head into our fifth year of the M.S. in Addiction Policy & Practice, we’re proud to join a school that can expand our current offerings and places full faith in our mission to improve healthcare outcomes for those affected by substance use disorders. Here are just a few ways the student experience will be enhanced by SOH as the program’s academic home:

  • Dedicated classroom and office space at the newly acquired and modernized 111 Mass Ave. location, which is an expansion of the Georgetown University Capitol Campus .
  • Access to esteemed researchers, scholars and practitioners in law, policy, economics, public health, nursing, medicine, and healthcare management
  • Access to networking opportunities with nearly 450 alums who are advancing health and healthcare throughout the world 
  • Opportunity to network with students in the nationally accredited master’s degree in Health Systems Administration through formal and social activities
  • Option to attend the annual comparative health system global experience
  • Benefit from the Department of Health Management and Policy’s affiliation with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)

Most importantly, we will be with a community that shares our vision for high quality health care that is safe, reliable and equitable.
